All the novelties have been presented at LAZIO DAY AND NIGHT, a special event that took place on June 15th at the Castle of Santa Severa in which sport, food and wine and live entertainment were protagonists.
The activities took place on the beach thanks to the collaboration between Regione Lazio and CONI “Compagni di Sport”; there were the excellent music of Radio Rock and the live broadcast of Radio Roma Capitale with a beach volley tournament, the regional lifesaving championship also with labrador dogs, the SUP discipline test – Stand up Paddle or surf and the most traditional beach games. In the afternoon, inside the Castle it was possible to do the fencing test, use the target shooting and rowing simulators, shoot with a bow or challenge your friends to penalties, table tennis or table football. Furthermore, for LYC holders, it was possible to visit the Castle Museum of Santa Severa with a free ticket throughout the day.
After so much sport, good food could not be missing. From 6 pm in the Piazza delle Barrozze, the “Fried Food Contest” took place, a street food contest with typical local products, in which five young chefs from the Lazio provinces competed. Participants in the contest – Beatrice Piccaro (LT): Wild battered “ramolaccio”, Mattia Lattanzio (RM): Zucchini parmigiana “ingot”, Francesco Serafini (VT): Fried pizza stuffed with ricotta cheese and “susianella”, Stefano Proietti (RI): black pork “morsel” of Rieti, Anna Laura Tamburrini (FR): Fried pizzas with anchovies.
