In the exclusive setting of the castle of Santa Severa, on May 12th an extraordinary opening day of the castle took place, coordinated by the IPSEOA Vincenzo Gioberti, leader of the RIAL network, Network of the Lazio Hotels Institutes. The #ConnectingTalents 2018 event was organized in collaboration with Regione Lazio, LAZIOcrea, MiBACT, Miur, Santa Marinella Municipality and Coopculture.

The students were actively involved as guides inside the castle and in the food and wine promotion of the local products of the stands, experimenting with an innovative School-Work Alternation experience. The event, interpreting the peculiarity of the institutes for food and wine and hotel hospitality that have as their vocation the teamwork, has highlighted the potential of the various representatives of the school community to stay and work together, actively participating in the school life.

In this magnificent context the students were the protagonists of the organization of a convention on the educational value of participation, understood as the ability to put into practice professional skills and soft skills, acquired within formal and informal systems of education.

A convention was held on the stage with focus, such as #Una scuola aperta al territorio, #la scuola a misura di studente or #una scuola social and with student performances to enhance the potential of each and show the school as a workshop talents with live band music, music tracks by the students of the Rial Network and web radio station by institutes such as innovative models of Alternanza Scuola Lavoro.

Throughout the day, important talks from the food and wine sector offered tastings and lessons in Show cooking, Bartending and quality hospitality.
