Conference “The Anthem of Mameli: Origin, History and Meaning”

At the Civic Museum of the sea and ancient navigation, directed by Flavio Enei, until March 15, conferences of the cultural activities program organized by the Archaeological group of the territory Cerite, in collaboration with Regione Lazio, LAZIOcrea, MiBac, Comune of Santa Marinella and Coopculture. 

5.30 pm – Free admission until seats are available Saturday 9 February Roberto Piazzini “The hymn of Mameli: origin, history and meaning” The speaker will retrace the history of the hymn of Mameli, (originally “The Song of the Italians”) written by Goffredo Mameli and music by Michele Navaro who replaced the “Royal March” of the Kingdom of Italy after the proclamation of the Italian Republic on June 2, 1946. In particular, he will comment on the origins and stanzas that compose it by recalling the characters and events of the homeland and social history that they evoke.
