Et in Arcadia ego: dialogue between Italian and Ukrainian artists
From 4 September until 4 November, the Castle of Santa Severa hosts “Et in Arcadia ego”, a project curated by the Rome Quadrennial and the Lazio Region dedicated to the dialogue between Italian and Ukrainian artists.
An artistic residence in Italy for young authors whose artistic growth and professional commitment within their own country is experiencing a period of great suffering due to the war.
Ukrainian artists bring to their Italian residence the feeling of the drama that is being experienced in their country. The title of this project is born from this tension, between salvation and suffering, between war and distance, which intends to produce a diary of this experience as a final work in which the contributions of each participant can be brought together.
Friday 28 October 2022, at 12.00 a visit for the press to the studios of the Ukrainian artists Dariia Chechushkova, Danylo Galkin, Mykola Ridnyi, Sasha Roshen and the Italians Edoardo Aruta and Caterina Morigi in residence at the Castle of Santa Severa is scheduled to conclude the first Lazio chapter of Et in Arcadia ego, residence for Ukrainian artists in dialogue with Italian artists, curated by the Rome Quadriennale, which will continue for another two months in Sardinia.
