Attendance Boom at the “Santa Claus Village”
There were more than 25,000 visitors to the “Santa Claus Village” set up inside the Castle of Santa Severa from December 8 to January 6, 2019. Over 40,000, however, the presence at the Castle which also saw tripling, compared to last year, the entrances to the museum system hosted by monumental complex, with the hostel that has almost always marked the sold out. The “Santa Claus Village” was a great success with the public, with many events dedicated to children, an ice rink, street artists, jugglers and light shows, which required the involvement, in the organization, of over 150 people. In 2018 there were about 50,000 visitors to the new museum areas set up in the monumental complex and the Innovation Lab, or who stayed at the hostel, all structures opened by Regione Lazio in the spring of last year, to which must be added the participation of those who go to the castle without visiting the museum spaces.All the projects carried out at the Castello di S. Severa are promoted by Regione Lazio, in collaboration with LAZIOcrea, the Municipality of Santa Marinella, MiBAC and Coopculture.
