We inform visitors that taking into account the provisions of the Decree approved on March 12, 2021 by the Council of Ministers – which, in consideration of the greater diffusion of the COVID-19 virus and its variants and in view of the Easter holidays, establishes greater measures intensity compared to those already in force, for the period between March 15 and April 6, 2021, in order to limit further opportunities for contagion – and in light of the latest assessments of the Ministry of Health which placed the Lazio Region in “red zone” starting from Monday 15 March 2021- , pursuant to art. 45 of the Prime Minister’s Decree of 2 March 2021, the exhibitions and public opening services of museums and other cultural institutes and places referred to in art. 101 of the Code of cultural heritage and landscape (Legislative Decree 22 January 2004, n. 42).

Shows open to the public are also suspended, even in outdoor spaces.

Therefore, the closure of the museum area of ​​the Monumental Complex of the Castle of Santa Severa is ordered. The accommodation facilities of the hostel and the artisan shops will also be closed to the public, however, without prejudice to access to the aforementioned shops, by operators only, for inventory activities or to allow trade via the internet or with other sales tools to distance, as expressly agreed by attachment 23 of the aforementioned DPCM in force.
