“Aperimusica” at the Castle of Santa Severa with “Castello in Jazz” concerts. The event has been organized by Stefano Marzolla, in collaboration with Regione Lazio, LAZIOcrea SpA, MiBACT, Santa Marinella Municipality, Coopculture and will take place in July, August and September.
On stage Toni Germani. Accompanying him will be Francesco Venerucci on piano, Pietro Fumagalli on drums and Stefano Marzolla on double bass.
Jazz is a genre of music born in the early twentieth century in the US from the encounter between the musical sensitivity of the African-American community and the European tradition, based on ragtime and elements derived from the Afro folklore (blues , work songs, religious songs) that has become very popular and very quickly characterized by ample freedom and improvisation and to put it with Alessandro Baricco: “when you do not know what it is, then it’s jazz”.
